Come out to Jackson Playground (17th and Arkansas streets) for an event with the Friends of Jackson Park to unveil a temporary art mural on the park's outdoor basketball court this Friday, February 14, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Rec and Park is working with artist Victor Solomon and the Courtside Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to restoring and elevating basketball courts with community, creativity and opportunity. The mural on the surface of the court will celebrate our city’s love of basketball as San Francisco gets ready to host the NBA All-Star game at nearby Chase Center.
The mural is a temporary feature, as Jackson Playground is scheduled for a complete renovation beginning in 2027. For more information about the project, click here: https://tinyurl.com/4wv5cfw3
