Another tuck-under garage conversion ADU just completed on a 5-unit multifamily building in Grover Beach, CA! 🏠 This ADU has 800 sq ft of living space with 2bd/2ba + office converted from two double garages. The new ADU fits in well with the building and almost looks like it's one of the original units!

This is the first of 6 separate ADU projects Housable is currently permitting for this owner. The project took less than 12 months from initial design to completion of construction. The total project cost ended under our projection of $175,000 all in and the ADU will rent for $3,400 per month.

This 5-unit building in Grover Beach was approved to add a 6th unit last fall and will be starting construction soon. This project is a garage conversion to ADU and will replace two double garages with a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom unit with almost 800 sq ft of total living space. The project started the design process with Housable in Spring 2022 and was approved in a little over 4 months. We are looking forward to seeing this project start construction soon! +🏠

This detached ADU project in El Cajon (San Diego County) was just completed at the end of 2022. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with an office in 1,200 sq ft of living space. The project was designed and permitted in just under 5 months and was then constructed in just over 6 months. This ADU was developed on a rental property and the owner plans to repeat this same design across the rest of their rental portfolio! πŸ πŸ“ˆ

This 16-unit multifamily property in Seaside, CA was just approved to add 4 more units through ADU development!

The ADUs will convert attached garages and unused storage/laundry rooms into 1bd/1ba apartments with just under 400sf of living space each. We are excited to see this project break ground in the spring and ultimately add four more much needed rental units to the housing supply! 🏑x4

This project on a 4-plex in Burbank is just wrapping up the permitting process and demonstrates the balance between adding units and preserving parking for the existing units on the property. When designing ADUs for multifamily properties it is important to consider the impact on the existing residents in addition to the desirability of the ADU itself. 🏑
