This apartment complex wanted a simple balcony swap. We found a structural nightmare. 🚩🏢
We quoted for a standard replacement. Once we did the demo, we found the main support beams were completely hollowed out by termites.
This is a massive safety liability. We cannot bolt a new deck to this.
Now the Property Manager is upset about the “extra” cost to fix the structure.
Honest question for the trades: Is this a Change Order or should I have “seen it coming”? 👇
