According to a religious legend, the crown of thorns worn by Jesus Christ at his crucifixion was made from the stems of this plant, hence the common name of Crown of Thorns and Corona de Cristo. I typically grow up to 3-6 feet tall. I am resilient, drought tolerant, prefer full direct sun, and dry to medium moisture. I stay looking pretty and bloom almost year round.
