I've been busy getting my summer fragrances/concrete vessels ready to be offered in July.

There will be 3 to 4 new fragrances in new concrete vessel colors.

This one is hibiscus, mango and banana. My vision for the colors is imagine you're on a tropical island with hibiscus flower in your hair. Hibiscus colors in fuschia, yellow and coral.

The name for this candle will be announced later.

Oops! At least the colors look good.

I was getting ready to unmold this new concrete vessel with a new color way and accidentally dropped it while it was still in the mold. Thought it might be ok but unfortunately nope. Going to make more. This will have a new summer fragrance too.

It's going to be a fun filled day for you and the whole family in downtown Vista. It's the Strawberry Festival! May 24th from 8am-6pm.

will be open from 9am-6pm located at 130 Eucalyptus. Vendors will be set up out front and in the back parking lot.

Check inside the store for strawberry goodies like concrete strawberry planters and strawberry 🍓 ("Strawberry Fields") or strawberry and chocolate 🍓🍫 ("Fraise Au Chocolat") scented concrete candles. Join in on the festivities by bringing a keepsake of the day home with you.

Today was a sanding and start of the sealing process kind of day.

I demolded these vessels a week ago. It takes that long for the concrete to dry enough to seal.

After 5-7 days its time to seal. Before sealing I sand the bottoms to make sure there's no sharp edges. I use 120 grit and then 220 grit.

I use a water-based sealant with low VOCs. Low VOCs are low Volatile Organic Compounds that emit significantly fewer chemicals in the air compared to traditional methods. Better for you and the environment.

I use 2 different sealants for this particular candle vessel. I use another low VOC sealant that gives the vessel a gloss look. I'll add 3 coats of that tomorrow. Then wait 3 days before pouring wax. This way the sealant has properly adhered to the concrete vessel.
