Now Lesslie's is feeling the lack of enthusiasm from the DYI pool folks.. Wow. :( Our SCP and Chemical wholesale prices in the Bay Area went up 110% for Chemicals and 30% - 80% for parts since 2019. We have to explain to the customers why we have to pass that increase on to them. Unfortunately a lot of customers are not willing to pay these increases to take care of their pools.

New California laws in 2026... For all you contractors and employers..

(AB 1327) Home Improvement --- Allows a property owner to cancel a contract by email or a phone call for home improvement work or home solicitation of goods and services.

(SB 294) Know Your Rights --- Starting in February, employers must provide workers with a written notice of their workplace rights, including workers' compensation benefits, the right to organize and protections against immigration related practices.

(AB 692) Training Repayment --- Voids any terms of a labor contract that requires an employee to pay back a bonus or imposes a financial penalty if the employee leaves their job before a certain date. Also prohibits employers from requiring workers to repay training costs if they leave the company.

I think the sticker says it all. Thanks to all of the folks that made this happen. Without them Alumni would not be able to provide excellent service. SCP Distributors, Esbro Chemical, Spa Technician, Freedom Pool Service, Pools Etc., Low Buck Pool Service, Jandy tech support, Pentair Tech support and all of the staff that work at these companies.
