Henry joined the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA) in 1983, and has been actively involved since joining. Coast Chapter on three terms, as Vice President of the N. Coast Chapter, as State Certification Chairman on two terms, has served as Judge for the Awards Program on many occasions and volunteers a substantial amount of time with Landscape Certification Training, Prep & Testing twice a year. Henry has developed a program called 'Landscape Math'- A ten part workshop developing essential skills for the foreman level employee. His seminars are featured annually at the Landscape Industry Show at the Los Angeles Convention Center, at local No. Coast Chapter seminars and has been approved by the CLCA to provide these classes to the public. Henry Buder is a Mentor for the CLCA's Contractor Mentor Program which allows contractors to seek sound advice from Industry Recognized Member Mentors. Additionally, Henry Buder is an Advisor for the CLCA's Operation Helping Hand Program, which helps unlicensed contractors obtain their State C-27 Landscape Contractors License with the Department of Consumer Affairs.
