Smart design: Integrating invisible technology into luxury Marin County homes

Here I'm showcasing an example of how smart-home integrations can be added to upscale remodels or new builds to enhance daily routines (not having to open/close shades daily) while also preserving your furnishings and hardwood. In this beautiful home overlooking the Sausalito waterfront the double high ceilings and windows needed shades to cut down the UV exposure to preserve the flooring.

Finished this beautiful living room this week in MV and it’s so dreamy ☀️☁️ we started with installing new hardwood throughout, then Andersen renewal windows, then kitchen renovation and now furniture. Still awaiting paint. But the magic was the moment the rugs and furniture installed and we realized the rug repeats the exact shoreline pattern visible in the view outside the windows ✨🪄

Three installs this week at three separate projects and phew! I’m so ready for the weekend. Grateful to for a beautiful installation job. This grasscloth installation today will lay the foundation for a beautifully layered living room in Mill Valley.

Grasscloth is a very popular choice for the walls because it gives the richness and textural backdrop to any artwork or mirror set upon it. And it also has such a timeless quality to it, especially in this Canvas color.

It’s been an awesome week with the Spanish Revival furniture install….but need to catch a minute for those pic edits to come.

For now, this architectural moment from the kitchen. My heart skipped a beat when I caught sight of these repeated arches. And the way the light dances on Lime Washed walls. Oh and tequila at the end….seems an appropriate celebration is in clear view. This week marks almost a year since the design for this project began. So I’m taking a deep breath, grateful for this project, the clients, and its success ✨

Progress on the Spanish revival project! ….We used lime Wash paint in the living room to achieve a truly Mediterranean feel. It brings the walls to life with such a rich texture and naturally warm feeling. Getting ready for furniture installation next week! ✨🌟

{Progress Notes} Hardwood floors literally lay the groundwork for the whole space… yes they’re an investment, but they make so much more of your homes interior. This project sought to reinvent the interior with contemporary classic look.

Hardwood floors do just that while creating a clean allergy free home. Next up on the project, a collection of inspired rugs in all the spaces, weaving in color & pattern underfoot.
