MIll Valley CA. Welded steel entry. This one is a fun gate design composed of 2x3 and 2x2 tubing with an alternating “floating rail” pattern. The arbor also welded steel and in my opinion what makes this simple design work is the recessed lighting within the arbor. The fencing is a horizontal round bar detail fabricated on site.

Donor deck and octagon bench seat. This deck required a plethora of low impact shallow pier footings to accommodate and protect the beautiful redwood tree being encircled. Over 50% of those piers having to be relocated so as not to damage a single root. The octagon bench seat we designed as a floating structure with a welded steel frame so that the top boards surround the tree can be removed in time to allow for growth.
