Most shower failures don’t come from the tile… they come from what’s behind it.

Poor waterproofing and rushed prep work are the biggest reasons showers fail. At Home X Custom, we do things the right way from the start — proper prep, proper waterproofing, and quality tile installation.

This shower had to be completely torn out due to poor workmanship. The shower pan failed and caused mold growth underneath the tile.

We rebuilt it the right way with proper prep, waterproofing, and professional tile installation.

That’s the difference between a shower that lasts 5 years vs 25+ years.

From planning to ex*****on, my team did a great job on this one! This is a custom Bed frame built using aromatic cedar, finished with a mahogany colored stain. This is a massive bed frame to accommodate a alaskan king (96”x96”) mattress

Here’s a look back at one of our final projects from the last three months of 2025.

It was an incredibly busy stretch for us, so we didn’t get much time to post along the way—but we didn’t want these projects to go unshared.

-This was an interior demo and start of a restoration project in downtown Richland Springs. The scope of work included
-tearing down the interior framing
-adding framing to support a roof
-installing a R panel galvalume roof
-installing plumbing, electrical
-installing new windows
-framing for two bathrooms
-finishing paneling, lighting, and interior fixtures *pending*

The goal for this project is to turn this old building into public bathrooms for a food truck stop in Richland. Shoutout to Richland for investing in bringing the town to life
