Summer is a great time to go out in your yard and see just how much canopy your trees have and assess if it’s a potential threat to anything.

This tree is beautiful but if you look closely at the roof, the canopy is keeping moisture preventing the sun from drying things out, and growing moss on the shingles! Not good for the longevity of a roof!

Other factors to consider- if they touch your roof, or if a threatening pine is close, it could drop pine needles or branches onto your roof (at best!) resulting in further damage.
