The true end of an era...
This might have been the hardest thing I've had to do as a small business owner. While I have to keep reminding myself it's all part of God's plan and a good business strategy, it can't help, but feel like a failure.
The memories here will forever be etched in my brain. Mary Anne sitting ON TOP of the cabinets helping us paint. Sydney spilling Clean Linen oil everywhere and how slick the floor was. Looking outside and seeing a guy in stilts just cruising down the road. That time a bird made itself at home in our store and Alliyah called me laughing and crying at the same time. Ashley spending most of her days in the front windows to the point that people thought she WAS the display. Making candles in my pajamas and slippers when we were closed. All the candle parties. The laughter. The tears.
Market Street, you were good to us. Would have I done things differently? Maybe. But there is no looking back. It's time to level up. New products, new scents, new energy. For those that have been on this journey that started in my kitchen, thank you. For those just joining the craziness, welcome to what I hope is the most honest, fun and trustworthy candle experience of your life. Come see us at the mall. I promise we don't bite.
Sending love & light as always,
The Crazy Candle Lady
