🪴🛏️We get a lot of questions about plants in the bedroom. Traditionally in feng shui, it was not advised to have plants in the bedroom because they’re actively growing and expanding and it can interfere with the yin energy that we seek to achieve in our bedrooms. HOWEVER, we live in a world with air that is far more toxic than thousands of years ago in rural China. We believe that the air cleansing benefits of having plants in the bedroom outweighs the disruption of the yin energy in most cases, especially if you live in a big city. Plus, they’re beautiful to look at upon waking! Do make sure you have HEALTHY plants in your bedroom. Fake plants are okay as long as they’re good enough quality that you reach in to see if they’re real or not! Let us know if you have any questions! 💚💚💚

We’re BACK!!👋👋 We took a little end of summer IG hiatus and have been working so hard on our Feng Shui Certification Program for realtors and interior designers! Beyond excited for this y’all, looking to launch in January!

Just a reminder, although your bed is ideally placed up against an internal wall, it’s not always possible! This designer must know a thing or two about feng shui because she placed the best feng shui “cures” if you must have your bed on a window wall. Notice the soft macrame above the head, curtains, snake plants (which are excellent for protection and oxygenation in the bedroom), bonus points for the cute puppy!

How does your kitchen make you feel? Is it a natural gathering place in your home? How is your lighting? Are your windows clean? Can you add a new rug or a plant to spruce things up? OR is it a place where clutter gathers? A place of chaos?

Our advice would be to grab a pen and paper and go stand in your kitchen. You can make a list of things that need repair (that pesky burner that never lights?!), things that could use a refresh and things that could use a deep clean. After you have your list, it’s easier to prioritize what’s first to-do. PLUS the timing is perfect to start some house projects as the kiddos head back to school!

wood, earth and metal and it makes us so very happy! 🏡

Okay okay, listen up y’all. Let’s talk about how simple feng shui can be, a flow chart:
1. Does what you see upon entry into your home make you happy? Yes- keep doing what you’re doing because your energy is consistently uplifted in your space. No- make your entry on the interior of your home your absolute FAVORITE wall/space/area. Add your favorite art, fresh flowers etc. and simply swirl items that you already own.
2. Does what you see upon entering your home “spark joy?” makes this a very simple process. Yes: take some time to move items around with intention, even if your entry sparks joy, items can be come stagnant because they’ve brought you so much joy for a long time. No: go shopping in your home and gather some beautiful items to place at your entry. You can also consider the overall view and add a mirror, but, be careful what it reflects. If it reflects a mess, you’ll double your mess. If the mirror reflects beauty, you’re doubling the beauty in your life.

🌼We can absolutely promise you that having fresh flowers in your home will bring you joy and a positive shift in energy (unless you’re allergic, then no flowers! Lol). One of the easiest things to comprehend about feng shui is what you see, smell, touch, hear and taste has a direct impact on your mood and life. That said, how easy is it to go on a walk and cut some fresh flowers and put them by your entryway?!? Send us your flower pics!
