Hello my name is Doug Lyon and I am a general contractor and have built over 600 new residential homes in California. I have also remodeled over 50 kitchens and 150 bathrooms. I am also a ICC Certified Residential Building Inspector in California.

I am asked from owner builders what they are supposed to do to build there project. They have so many questions about the whole process.

So I have put together some beginner classes to help you through the Construction the process.

You will learn:
1.) Who’s on my team.
2.) The process of drafting your plans.
3.) How to read plans and find what’s not on your plans that should be.
4.) How to find the important sections of your plans.
5.) How to know about which inspections to request and when.
6.) How to know which 3rd party observations to get and when.
7.) Scheduling walks and inspections
8.) How to stay out of trouble with the neighbors and government agencies.
9.) How to final my project and my permit.

Classes will be held in Oxnard and Ventura.

Cost per class: $400.00 (1 Person)

5.) Basic Construction Tips and Tricks
