Busy couple of weeks with lots of site visits. Really fun to see these collaborations start to take shape.

The last couple of years have been full of exciting growth and new opportunities for my little business. Our team has grown personally and professionally and has had the great fortune to be included on the design of some very special projects. Over the last 15 years, we have become part of a wonderful design-build community full of people that we are grateful to call our colleagues. These projects and these colleagues are truly what make my job so enjoyable. 

With all of that being said, I have made a decision to pivot, to change my current business model in an effort to achieve a more balanced life (mid-life crisis perhaps?). As much as I love my career, I love my family and friends much more, but because of unreasonably long hours and over commitment at work, I have missed out on a lot of time with the people that mean the most to me and I have not taken the time to take care of myself (exercise, what's that?). I'm not sure balance is actually attainable or even a real thing, but I do know that I do not want to miss anymore family gatherings, ski trips, school events, and dinners with friends. Life is too short and too sweet!

Later this week, we will be moving our office into a beautiful, historic building in downtown Santa Fe where we will be open by appointment for our design clients, as well as anyone interested in purchasing custom furniture. Although many aspects of the brick and mortar shop have been fun, its operation in conjunction with our very busy design practice has spread our small, but mighty team too thin. We will continue to run our online shop, which if you haven't checked it out, you should - it has all of the great stuff we carry in the showroom, plus a lot more. We are not closing, we are not leaving Santa Fe; we are just choosing to place all of our focus on the design work that we are so passionate about. We could not be more excited (and relieved) for this next chapter! Thanks for reading and thanks for your support!! ❤️
