It’s tax day! If doing your taxes was a bear this year get yourself an accordion hanging file folder and start organizing your taxes from day one. The accordion file gives you 12 to 13 different options for categorization. This is the file system that I set up for a client five years ago and it’s still going strong. That year he was worried his accountant was going to fire him because he was so disorganized and always got everything in at the last minute. Five years later And the client and his accountant are both happy. If you hate taxes like me, build a team that helps you get it done, I financial organizer, a bookkeeper, and a CPA!it’s a winning combination. Need a financial organizer? Tell me you’re a professional organizer without telling me you’re a professional organizer. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had people comment on how orderly I load the belt at the checkout. I purposefully unpack it with heaviest/frozen stuff first and lightest last, even if I’m the one bagging (and I love bagging). If you’re a PO do you do this too?

Save the date for our in-person September Chapter Meeting! Lauren Mang of Let Me Organize it will be flying into Arizona to share her expertise on setting boundaries with clients.

Description:
Whether you're new to the organizing profession or a seasoned veteran, we all run into difficult clients and agonize over dealing with them in a kind but firm manner. Identifying, setting, and maintaining clear boundaries is key. In this session, we'll examine several case studies and attendees will participate on how they would handle the situation. I'll reveal how I handled each situation, highlighting what to do, what not to do, and how to implement those clear boundaries!

Objectives:
- Identify, set, and maintain clear boundaries for all clients
- Learn to recognize difficult clients in advance through case studies, so you see the red flags early on, and can determine how to handle the situation.
- What to do once you've begun working with a client and you now realize it's no longer a good fit (i.e. how to exit gracefully and kindly).
- Walk away feeling more confident in your ability to handle any client relationship and enforce your boundaries.
