The ever inspiring !! ✨✨✨

Stopped by last week to see clients who have been in their home approximately eight weeks now. As the mama rinsed baby’s hands in the sink I sat at the dining table watching with delight. So many decisions went into the making of this home and now they are in, enjoying the fruits of those decisions, and it is very fulfilling. But it simultaneously feels like whiplash when a project ends. To go from non-stop work then *p**f* it’s over. They are grateful and love their home, which makes it easier to accept that my work is done here, I did what I came to do. I am bad about professional photography when a project ends. But maybe these iPhone pictures of real life carry more weight? I am going to photograph this one, when the roll-up shades get released from customs jail in Atlanta. They’ve been stuck since late July. If anyone knows anyone in that customs office HMU. 📞👮🏻‍♂️🪟

This one’s a remodel. The ✌🏽remodel we’ve done with this client. Both are vacation rentals. It’s nice to see people upgrade rentals. 💫 I know everyone loves a good before and after, but I can’t find a before shot in my phone so you’ll have to use your imaginations. Maybe I’ll remember to come back and post again once the fixtures are installed, it’s going to keep getting better and better. We didn’t do on our own, thanks for bringing our ideas to life. 🔨 ✨

Sad to see this one coming to a close.

The color palette in this house is so good. We worked it hard. There’s a cohesiveness from one space to the next, but also an element of surprise as you move through the house. And the wallpaper isn’t even in yet—it’s only going to get better.

The weird thing about design projects is that they get really good and then *p**f* it’s over. Installed. Finished. Done.

We started this project five years ago, and ending something you’ve worked hard for is always bittersweet. I think other designers will relate. You’re simultaneously mourning the end of a client relationship while celebrating the fact that they are finally living in a home you’ve poured your heart and soul into. That is the end goal.

Thankfully, we always have other projects in motion, easing the loss we feel after each install. And usually it’s what comes after the install that delights me the most. When clients become friends, and you get to come back later and see life unfolding inside the walls you helped create. ♥️

All the little piles may look like a mess to outsiders, but not to us! It’s been a busy season of furnishings which means stocking and stacking up pretties for our clients. 🤎 Closing the year with much gratitude for those who have trusted us with their “stuff”!
