Formerly, I built this blogging platform as "the HBIC GUIDE" and shared all things self-improvement/entrepreneurship. Be sure to follow , & to follow along on my businesswoman adventures.
I want to now focus on spending time on sharing what brings me joy/relaxation & what I have been passionate about for my entire adult life: The home & design space 🏠🤍
Especially now that I have remodeled homes in the Washington DC area for almost a decade and remodeled my own home via a full gut job recently- sharing that process, sharing home and decor items I love, and sharing fun lifestyle moments is going to be the focus of my blog/content ✨

I get to co-design spaces all the time with my clients over at & but Casa de HBIC is the first space where I got to do exactly what I wanted to do from maximizing small space & storage to selecting finishes and fixtures that would ultimately define my design style. I definitely love a neutral backdrop that you can play up or dress down with decor choices.
It literally feels like my brain slows down from my hella busy lifestyle and work life when I step into my neutral kitchen that is not overly stimulating to my senses. If you have a lot going on I definitely recommend a low contrast aesthetic in your home spaces to create more zen. That way when you need color you can add colorful dinnerware, towels, flowers, vases etc. when you crave a more bold environment and then change it up to more calm decor when you need less stimulation! 📝

Awaiting my backordered shelves and espresso machine but this is what we've got for now ✨
My favorite part is the tile sourced from my tile shop/design studio 😍 I have always dreamed of living in Miami and this tile gave me Miami aesthetic from the moment I saw it. I get transported every time I look at it 🌴🌊 This "Constantia mini dress" from my Style Box fit right in with all the Miami vibes 🤍
