Designing here in the greater Sarasota area is not the same as designing anywhere else, and the reason is physics.

THE LIGHT is brighter and whiter, coming off the water. Colors that read as warm neutrals in a showroom go flat and chalky here. We test every palette in the actual room, at the actual hour the clients use it.

THE HUMIDITY is relentless. Solid wood moves. Natural fibers hold moisture. Untreated metal spots. Veneers lift.

So we specify differently: performance fabrics that do not look like performance fabrics, quarter-sawn or engineered substrates where movement matters, finishes rated for coastal exposure, and stone sealed for the way it will actually be used.

We design for HOW you live as well as WHERE you live.

Beautiful is the easy part. Beautiful in five years is the job.

How do you want to FEEL walking into this room?

Not what you want it to look like. How you want it to FEEL.

Clients pause every time. Nobody has asked them that. But it is the only question that actually determines whether a space works, because a room you love in photographs and a room you love living in are not always the same room.

Calm. Held. Energized. Impressed. Invisible. All valid answers. All completely different design decisions.

As a licensed psychologist and an interior designer, I have never found a better place to start.

The home’s exterior architecture was already speaking at our project, so we kept the conversation going.

From the windows to the interior doorways, bathroom details and niches, and curved forms, this home features them throughout. We carried that same language into the interiors with pieces like this sculptural canopy bed and headboards, creating a subtle connection from one room to the next.

It’s not about matching every detail. It’s about recognizing what makes a home special and building on it in ways that feel natural, thoughtful, and entirely its own.

Had to show some love to one of the lighting fixtures we can't stop thinking about in our project...a cluster of hand-blown glass pendants with air plants suspended inside.

The bathrooms at are a perfect example of why cohesive design doesn’t have to mean making every space look the same.

From a dramatic glass vessel sink and matte black fixtures to dimensional wall texture, warm brass, and a soft wash of blue tile, each space gets its own moment while still feeling connected to the home around it. Even the shower shelving becomes part of the design, with integrated LED lighting that illuminates the inset niches and adds both function and atmosphere.

It’s the mix that makes it interesting: texture against clean lines, warm metals against cool tones, natural woven elements beside polished finishes. Even the smallest spaces become an opportunity to introduce something unexpected.

Unpopular opinion: the wallpaper you think is too much is probably exactly right. 🖤

In 25 years of designing homes, I have never had a client say they wished they'd gone with a safer wallpaper. The ones they remember, the ones they still talk about years later, are always the ones where they committed.
