Sherry Cahill is the newest member of the Anne Folsom Smith Interior Design staff. Her fifteen years of Corporate Administration and Bookkeeping prepared her for the challenging role at AFSID.
Sherry graduated from Northwestern Business College (Chicago), with a degree in business information systems. Sherry was recruited by a national retailer for a position in analytics. Utilizing her talents in information technology and numbers, she quickly advanced her career within the company, receiving multiple awards for excellence in financial performance.
Sherry‘s ability to multitask, work in a team setting, and great interpersonal skills provide a great addition to the staff.

Samantha Crews joined Anne Folsom Smith Interior Design as Purchasing Manager in September, 2022. Her depth of knowledge and charming British accent provide a delightful addition to the staff.

Born and educated in England, her degree in Business Studies, prepared her to handle the many demands and attention to detail required in her day-to-day responsibilities. In her free moments she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking her dog, staying fit, and travel.

Meet Cindi Perkins, the first person most see or talk to when contacting or visiting Anne Folsom Smith Interior Design!
Cindi grew up in Sarasota returning to the area after college and brief stops in Atlanta and Dallas. After many years as Human Resources Manager with Jacobson‘s Stores, Inc., Cindi joined Anne Folsom Smith Interior Design in 1998. Her many responsibilities include design assistance, project, story boards, client communication, and project installations.
In her free time, Cindi enjoys traveling, cooking and spending time with her dog, Maggie. Cindi’s passion for animals has led to several late life, dog adoptions, providing them with a loving and caring transition.

Aymer Ruiz joined the Anne Folsom Smith Interior Design group in 2018 focused on ACAD and 3D renderings. He began his studies at the University of Palermo (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and graduated from Lasalle College International with a degree in Interior Design.
Aymer was born in Bogota, Columbia and returns as often as possible to visit family, particularly his daughter. In his free time he enjoys learning about new cultures, traveling and has a great passion for other languages. He also enjoys biking and working out at the gym.

Meet Jamie Ring! A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Jamie earned her BFA, from Kendall College of Art and Design, Ferris State University. Her education was augmented by a semester abroad, studying interior and furniture design at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. Upon graduation, she worked as a designer in the luxury custom carpet industry where her carpet designs were featured in publications, such as Architectural Digest. While Jamie has a passion for carpet design, she’s turned her focus toward Interior Design and In 2021 was hired by Anne Folsom Smith, Interior Design and relocated to Sarasota, Florida with her two cats, Louis and Fin. Jamie has formed a passion for residential design, meeting with clients and problem-solving. In her spare time Jamie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, painting, and trying new restaurants along the Florida coast.

Meet Jill Butterworth, Designer with Anne Folsom Smith Interior Design. Jill earned her BFA from NIU in DeKalb, Illinois. Her design career began in Chicago, where she practiced retail store planning for Sears and several prominent Interior Design firms. Seeking the sunshine, she relocated her two daughters to Austin, Texas to pursue the love for the outdoors. Then Raleigh, North Carolina to begin a career in facility planning. In 2002 she landed in Florida, where she established her own business to practice Hospitality and Commercial Design.
Jill possesses knowledge of construction and millwork fabrication through several personal home renovations. She joined Anne Folsom Smith interior design in 2022 and brings problem-solving and space planning skills, attention to detail, and strong client relationships.
When not at work, she loves to spend time with her husband and two labrador puppies. The team loves “Kona Tuesday and Thursday” when she brings her Labrador puppy into the office.

Craig Striepe joined the Anne Folsom Smith Interior Design group in 1987. A native of Sarasota and graduate of Florida State University. he obtained a degree in Interior Design. His responsibilities as the Construction Manager for AFSID include scheduling and coordination of subcontractors, site visits, and inspection of subcontractors work with a focus on maintaining high-quality and timely project completion. He provides valuable input to the designers to resolve construction issues and plays a key role in drafting and design.
In Craig’s free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, boating and fishing.

Fabiola Softas, Senior Designer at Anne Folsom Smith Interior Design is a graduate of Western Michigan University and Florida licensed interior designer. Prior to joining the AFSID team as Senior Designer in 1995, Fabiola gained experience as a furniture designer and Space Planner in Athens, Greece, and as Interior Design Consultant with Jacobson‘s Stores Inc. in Michigan and Florida.
Fabiola has completed numerous contemporary and traditional design projects, incorporating sustainable and green materials and has had projects featured in various local and national publications. Her responsibilities include client consultation, design concepts, project and budget analysis and development and space planning. Born and raised in Athens, Greece, Fabiola now resides in Myakka City. Her free time is focused on her daughter and grandchildren, traveling, fishing and going to the beach. Her commitment and dedication to the client and project result in the creation of beautiful spaces!

Anne Folsom Smith has been an interior designer for the last 41 years. A native of Knoxville Tennessee, she graduated from University of Tennessee, and has credentials as an associate AIA, ASID and is a Florida licensed designer.

Anne established AFSID in 1983 with a staff of two that has grown to its present staff of 10. Her firm has been involved in projects locally and Nationally.
Anne has received numerous awards, including the Aurora and Fame awards, Designer of the Year DCOTA, and Who’s Who in Interior Design. She has been published in countless professional, interior design magazines, and voted best designer in Sarasota on a number of occasions.
