Driveway cleaned, sanded, stained, and sealed ✨ These 20+ year old pavers had lost much of their original color over time. To achieve the look the homeowner wanted, we stained the pavers prior to sealing, giving them the extra pop that sealer alone couldn't provide 🦭🤩

One of the most overlooked aspects of a paver project is proper joint sand depth. For optimal performance, the sand should sit approximately 1/8 inch below the bevel line of the paver. Proper joint depth helps with sand retention, drainage, joint stability, and the overall appearance of the finished project 🦭✨
Proper water beading is a great indicator that the sealer is performing as intended, helping repel moisture while protecting the pavers from the elements 💦

This patio had organic growth such as algae, mildew, and weeds can slowly take over paver surfaces and joints over time 🌿🦠 Our cleaning process removes this buildup, and our sealer helps protect against future growth with built-in anti-fungal properties. These pavers have small surface ridges, often referred to as "dimples." While they add some character to the pavers, they also cause sealer to pool during application if not addressed properly 💦🧹 When we come across surfaces like this, we broom out any excess sealer with a soft-bristle broom to ensure an even finish and consistent appearance throughout the deck ✨🦭

This project included proper base preparation with 250 base sand, thorough compaction, and a bordered edge system to help prevent separation and movement over time. Interestingly, we also had to custom cut the sidewalk to ensure the extension flowed cleanly and fit the space properly. Finally, we finished off with a full clean, sand, and seal for long-term protection ✨🕰

Before and after on this paver driveway 🦭✨
- Our process starts with a degreaser treatment to break down oils and contaminants, followed by a neutralizer and full surface cleaning. We then turbo nozzle the joints before thoroughly rinsing the entire surface 💦
- Fresh joint sand is installed through our wet sanding process to ensure proper depth and compaction throughout the driveway. Once fully prepped, we apply our two-coat sealing system — starting with a flood coat to pe*****te the pavers and stabilize the joints, followed by a final top coat to even out the finish, enhance the color, and provide long-term protection 🤩🧱
