A primary suite should feel like a retreat—comfortable, calming, and tailored to the people who live there.

For this client, we layered rich wood furnishings, soft neutrals, and custom window treatments to create a space that feels both elegant and inviting. The custom drapery panels soften the room, frame the windows beautifully, and add another layer of texture and warmth to the design.

We're especially fond of the details here—from the coffered ceiling overhead to the carefully selected fabrics, artwork, and lighting that work together to create a cohesive, restful atmosphere.

At the end of a busy day, there's something timeless about a bedroom that feels collected, comfortable, and uniquely yours.

We were saddened to learn of the passing of Guy Jordan of Earl B. Feiden Appliance.

At Plum & Crimson, we value the long-standing relationships we've built with our trade partners over the years—people who are knowledgeable, service-oriented, and truly invested in helping clients make the best decisions for their homes.

Guy embodied all of those qualities. Time and again, we confidently referred clients to him, knowing he would take the time to listen, educate, and recommend appliances that suited their needs, lifestyle, and budget. His expertise was exceptional, but what made him stand out was his kindness, generosity, and genuine desire to help others.

Our hearts go out to Guy's family, friends, and the entire Earl B. Feiden team. He will be greatly missed, and we are grateful to have known and worked alongside him throughout the years.

Happy Father's Day to the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, and father figures who make a house feel like home.

Some of our favorite spaces are the ones filled with those memories—a favorite reading chair, a workshop, a porch overlooking the lake, a family room where everyone gathers, or a home office filled with treasures collected over a lifetime.

Built-in bunk rooms are one of our favorite ways to maximize space—and maximize fun.

This custom bunk suite was designed to comfortably sleep a crowd while still feeling organized, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. Built-in beds with integrated storage keep everything in its place, while the adjoining hangout space gives kids (and adults!) a spot to play games, read, watch movies, or simply unwind after a day on the lake.

We love how the bold colors, playful patterns, and custom millwork create a space that feels special without sacrificing function. Every inch works hard, but it never feels crowded.

Because the best guest spaces don't just provide a place to sleep—they create a place to make memories.

This covered lakeside seating area was designed to make the most of every season—morning coffee, afternoon gatherings, sunset cocktails, and quiet evenings listening to the water.

Comfortable furnishings, durable outdoor materials, and a warm wood ceiling create an inviting extension of the home, while the unobstructed views ensure the lake remains the star of the show.

When outdoor spaces are thoughtfully designed, they become more than a patio—they become one of the most-loved "rooms" in the house.

One of the goals for this lakeside home was to make the view part of the design. From the soaring ceilings and oversized windows to the carefully chosen furnishings and finishes, every element was selected to complement—not compete with—the water beyond.

From one angle, the space feels warm and inviting, with comfortable seating that encourages conversation over coffee. From another, the expansive island, dramatic chandelier, and wall of windows showcase the breathtaking lake views that define the home.

When a home is blessed with scenery like this, great design amplifies it.

Soft, sophisticated, and full of personality. 💗 For this client bathroom, we paired timeless marble with a custom blush vanity, warm brass finishes, and playful bow-shaped hardware to create a space that feels both elegant and unexpected. The sculptural mirror and floral-inspired sconce add just the right amount of whimsy, while the classic materials ensure the design will feel beautiful for years to come.

One of our favorite parts of this project was balancing traditional details with fresh, personal touches that reflect the homeowner's style. The result is a bathroom that feels polished, charming, and completely unique.
