This week we’re talking about…..viburnum a.k.a Snowball Bush ❄️

This is our first featured perennial and this bush is huge and gorgeous 😍. Also, this is the only type of snowball that I like…it’s warm when it blooms instead of freezing cold like real snow 🤭

🥰 round clusters made with tiny flowers
🤍 starts our green and fades to white
☀️ blooms in spring
🤩 lasts 5-7 days in a vase

Poppies are so majestic! How do they start as a tiny hairy pod, burst from the pod a crumpled mess, and then open up into a large gorgeous bloom?!? The whole processes blows my mind!

It was love at first sight for me and feverfew! You can’t NOT feel happy when you look at it 😁 I literally feel my dopamine spike every time I see these whimsical flowers! Feverfew has my heart forever 😍

Reoccurring dreams…

Have you ever had a reoccurring dream? I have never had any until last October after planting the tulips and now every few weeks I have the same dream 🤔🌷🤔

The details vary from dream to dream but the story line is always the same. Tulips are happy and growing and getting closer to harvest time and then something distracts me 🫣🤪😂

A vacation, throwing a big party, it’s different every time but it always plays out the same way…by the time I remember to check the tulips, they’ve opened and it’s too late to cut and use in bouquets 😥😥😥

Did you know pulling tulips at the right time significantly increases the vase life?

Don’t worry, it’s been drilled into my brain to check the tulips multiple times a day! Thanks, subconscious, for the subtle reminder 😅

Feature Flower Friday!! Let’s get excited about what makes each flower so unique ✨✨

This week we’re talking about…Snapdragons

Snapdragons are possibly my favorite flower. Do I keep saying that 🤔?!

I LOVE the feeling of charm and playfulness of snapdragons! They are called snapdragons because the flower is shaped like a jaw and when you squeeze the sides of the flower, it snaps shut.

I’ve never tried this but you better believe I’m trying it as soon as a few bloom 🤭

Unique features:
👧🏼 a favorite for childhood memories and nostalgia
😋 edible and can be used as a garnish or in salads
💛 comes in many warm colors like yellow, orange, red, pink, and white
🤩 can last two weeks in the vase if harvested at the right time
😎 unique spike shape gives a break from all the round flowers
💡 symbolizes strength, grace, courage
