I got this small cast iron roaster the other day. It will be perfect to make bread in. If you like homemade biscuits but can't have salt or sugar, here is a recipe to make a batch of biscuit mix to keep in your refrigerator.

This easy No Salt, No Sugar Homemade Biscuit mix can be created by combining flour, shortening and baking powder to create a versatile pantry staple. It enables you to make biscuits, pancakes and dumplings without added sodium or sweetener.
This mixture can be stored in an airtight container for up to 6 weeks.

No-Salt, No-Sugar Biscuit Mix Recipe
• 5 ½ cups All-purpose flour
• 1 cup vegetable shortening (or butter-flavor Crisco) or cold butter
• 3 TBS Sodium-free baking powder (e.g., Featherweight)
• 1 tsp Baking Soda

Instructions
TO MAKE MIX
1. Combine: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
2. Cut in Fat: Add the vegetable shortening (or butter) and cut it in using a pastry blender or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
3. Store: Store in an airtight container or sealable jar in a cool, dry place for up to 6 weeks, or in the freezer for longer shelf life.

To Make Biscuits:
Mix 2 cups of this mix with approximately 2/3 cup of milk (or buttermilk) until just combined. Drop by spoonfuls or roll out dough and bake at 425°F for 10-12 minutes.
For a lower-sodium/healthier alternative, try this variation:
• 2 cups Almond Meal/Flour
• 1 pkg Golden Flaxseed Meal (16oz)
• 1/4 cup Baking Powder
• Mix well and store, tightly covered, in the fridge.

This is Fall Fest Pumpkin handmade in my 4 x 4.5 Fat Baby molds. I got in a hurry and made a timing mistake that made my colors run together and not turn out with the coloring I wanted.

But the good thing?

They smell delicious and I DID NOT MISS Grandparent's day at the school today! ❤️

At Carol's Market I am crafting my popular Fall Fest Pumpkin candles today.

Pumpkin season is in full swing!

Our standard candles are 3 x 4.5 and 3 x 6.5 but for these, I've decided to use a charming 4 x 4.5-inch mold, which is a little bigger. I can do these also in a 4 x 6.5 as a special order. I will post pictures when they come out of the mold.

Gotta be yummy 😋

This is the test candle I poured yesterday. I took it out of the mold this morning. I lit it around 7am and it is doing what it was made to do, which is burn straight through with a soft glow. The scent throw is super nice.
