We are still working right across from Forsyth Park. We are planning to use a new Sherwin Williams product called Forte which is intended for high traffic areas such as this lobby. We have done a level 5 skim coat on every surface possible and primed and cleaned up. We already started painting. I put the 3 colors down so the team could see the scheme to make it easier for everyone. I listened to the entire Pitchfork 500 and heard so many cool bands like these guys, the Walkmen. My co-workers always wonder why I never listen to music but it is because I am always concentrating on what aspects of the job I could do better or what things I could do differently.

Still working downtown. Me sanding down a level 5 with our 9 inch Bosch drywall sander with ceramic mesh 220 grit sanding discs. M-Dog is spraying some cabinets and then is spraying this lobby and he likes wearing a spacesuit. Donna Summer I Feel Love is such a great song. It was a great day working downtown.

I was demonstrating using a texture roller with a 4 foot skimming blade and then I thought it would be funny to cut in with 2 brushes at the same time. I apologize because I am still trying to get the right angles for this go pro. I also tossed in Twins with me and Murf and some Gary Numan. We work real hard to get all of this done so it is best for me and all the guys to try to have some fun with it.

Just finished this Landings job on Saturday night. We were also working downtown off Forsyth. My whole life people have asked if I ever saw this movie before because of my name but my parents were big on westerns and we used to rent them and other movies from the library when we were growing up. The customer asked us to do a quick level 5 skimcoat on the fireplace surround which we obliged... in western parlance or as the Dude would say. Johnny Cash has such an extensive collection.

Got a new phone and thought might like this. This is "AI" using a photo that was taken as we volunteered together at an animal rescue. With Murfy and myself and 2 of my fave sci-fi movies a 1964 film Robinson Crusoe on Mars and 1975 A Boy and His Dog starring Don Johnson. I thought that looked really cool. We have George Clinton Atomic Dog which seems appropriate and cabinets and furniture.

Next to the Forsyth Park fountain we are repairing and painting the first floor of seven floors altogether. Level 5 skimcoat too! So far we are up to 5 primers but we might hit 7 to get this right. We have the following:

Masonry primer for the concrete so we can skim it.

Oil primer for water stains but this might be bumped up to Shellac.

Peel stop to get the old wallpaper to lay down and stop the plaster from peeling more.

An all purpose water primer for all of the skimcoated areas.

DTM direct to metal primer for the metal in the hallway and other areas.

Then we are skimming all the wood with wood filler. All of that to just get it ready to paint! I am hoping to be done skimming tomorrow and then finish by Friday!

What a perfect day. We do not normally work in the landings but the guys were loving the views. I bought lunch for everyone and the weather was perfect. We had the front door open all day enjoying the fresh air. We kept watching all the boats pass by. Even on such an expensive home the builder never used primer on the drywall... like usual! Its amazing every house is like that. The owners were happy and having fun with us and the guys were having fun too. It felt great smelling the water and watching a butterfly. Then I headed downtown to start our next project across the street from Forsyth Park. We get to show off our skim coating and I can't wait to see how many primers we need... so far I am counting at least 4 or 5 which is a lot. I was also demonstrating how to cut in. And DJ Spazzy Jeff and the Fat Prince is going on a walk!
