Hey guys!! It's been a while since we've given an update. Things are DEFINITELY a Bloom out here in the garden. And our fruit trees and vines have some super exciting growth this year!!

While he's probably here eating up all of our broccoli, he sure is pretty 😍

It's been a rough week this week. We lost 3 of our girls this week.

Luna: A sapphire gem/lavender orpington cross. We bought Dottie and Luna together from the same breeder. Luna was never the friendliest bird and always a little skittish around people. She was also a bully. But she was beautiful and loved hanging out all day with her sister. She was also probably the fastest runner in the bunch and stingy with her "treasures". She could often be found, running away from the flock with frog legs dangling from her beak trying to enjoy her tasty find. You will be missed pretty girl 💔

Beau- Oh my sweet little Bo Peep. She was the runt of our first (and last) baby chick brood. She got pasty butt and we almost lost her. She was very used to being handled and would climb up into your hand as a chick to feed. As an adult she would climb into the feed bin and chow down as we were feeding the rest of the flock. I'm so sorry I wasn't here to protect you, my sweet girl. 💔

Meg- Originally coming to us as "Crooked foot" from a moving neighbors flock, Meg was the loudest girl you'd ever meet. She always had something to say. She quickly earned the name Meg when we'd jokingly say "shut up Meg" whenever she was on a talking spree lol. Meggers had a bad molt this year and got picked on a lot. She was also the reason we decided to put Rudy down. But she healed up just fine and was back to herself in no time. Meg was always with her sister, Big Mama. I'm not quite sure what we'll do without you Meggers. It sure will be quiet 💔

We lost each girl separately and I'm not entirely sure how/why. But we are vigilantly watching over the rest of our flock to ensure their safety.

RIP Luna Noona, Bo Bo and Meggers. My sweet girls 💔

Apparently I travel too much. So much, in fact, that my husband forgot who he was married to! 🤦🏼‍♀️

I'm working on a project in the yard and needed the truck to get some mulch. When I asked him to bring it home, you would've thought I told the funniest joke ever.

Y'all. My wonderful, loving, ever supportive husband laughed and told me two things:
1.) You'll never be able to open the back gate by yourself.
2.) you'll never be able to get it all unloaded by yourself, tonight. 😲

Hold my 🍺.

I started working at 3 and an hour and a half later. Done. 💯.

I've learned two things. 1.) We need a new gate. 2.) Just because I CAN do something, doesn't mean I WANT to do it. 😂

This year, I wanted to add some edible plants to the front yard. So a few weeks ago I planted some new seeds and transplanted some seedlings with our grandson.

The seeds started popping up this week, the seedlings are growing nicely and the pumpkins from last year's seeds started flowering! Even the hydrangeas are starting to bud!

He said "We got 12 today if you count this thing!" 🤣. Let's just call it 11.5 🤷🏼‍♀️
