Finally got to build the log futon, I've had the plans in my head for a few years now but just haven't had the time to build some until last week.... They turned out even better than I thought they would.One Full size and one queen size.

Well I finally got that 6' Valley bar table done and it turned out to be a sweet little table. I went over it top to bottom and every thing is in excellent working condition now. The slate is a great piece with no roll at all. All of the rails are in awesome condition, play great and bank very true. Brand new Championship cloth on the bed and rails. The balls were horribly beaten up so I swapped them out for a decent set of Aramith balls I had and a new Valley cue ball. The table is a 1963 side ball drop with a 2 keyed locks to the open the drawer for access yo the coin drop box and also where you can pull out the plexiglass glass front to the ball return and pull the balls from there for free play set up, otherwise the coin opp works great and is set up for 2 dimes. Over all the table is it great shape for being 50 yrs old and plays like a brand new table. Great table for an apartment or dorm, playing surface is 5'5" x 32". It is up for sale and only asking $500 for it, I wish I could keep it for myself but I already have a 7' Valley and a 8' Brunswick, any more tables and I'll have to open a pool ball in my basement. Well it's all legitimate and now official, NatGeo just approved Stilietto to offer me(Northwoods by design)(my work) a role on their show this season "CABIN FEVER". I will be supplying them with a log framed bunk bed and a curly maple night stand to be given to one lucky family here in Mn where they will be filming 3 of the first 8 shows. I will post further info as to when the show containing my products will air as soon as I find out.

A little better pace here but every time I got the camera out it seemed to slow down. lol But believe me, this guy knows what he's doing! Tim's Timber out of Hugo, Mn. We pounded out 48 logs and around 2500 board feet in 7&1/2hrs, thats moving! 1500BF of the absolute top grade curly maple I've ever seen. The figure is non stop thru out the whole tree and doesn't let up in intensity one bit, from edge to edge and everywhere in between. The depth and motion in this wood, even just coming off the saw and not even sanded was spectacular. Thanks for all the help Dave Crain.

7&1/2 hours slaving away at the mill saw, 46 logs and a 16'x 6'x 3' pile of sawdust later we shut'er down and thanked god it was over! Now the work begins.....

I build 2 styles, your basic contemporary style and a real rustic style but all custom orders are welcome, Here's a few of each style. Again I only use natural logs, all hand peeled with a home made draw knife, cut, fit, sanded and finished with my own two hands. All mortis and tenon joints pinned and glued. Easily assembled by anyone with 6" lag bolts for an incredibly solid frame that will last a life time. I also build 3 sizes of dog log beds as you will see your dog will love them as much as mine does. And for those pool players who may know him, yes, thats Matthew Petersen (Matty P) finding them very comfortable as well. lol

I can build any size you want from twin over twin up to queen over king and anything in between. All hand made with all natural logs full of character and true northwoods appeal, not machine milled and boring. Built to last, you wont believe how solid they are, not like that Ikea crap, you get what you pay for here, you wont find better quality or craftsmanship for these prices anywhere.
