More workshop prepping today, We built this mobile tool caddy to move around the work space depending on what is being done. It keeps tools off of benches and the floor, keeping the place nice and tidy.

Onion soup is a staple in any bistro in France. It’s a simple, yet delicious soup that every chef has his own recipe to make it. In involves caramelising the sliced onions and then allowing them to simmer in beef stock. The soup is then served with freshly sliced baguette and melted cheese on top. Always a ski resort favorite to warm you up!!

It’s always a good idea to look after the equipment that you earn your living with. I’m setting up the table saw and checking the alignment on the blade and fence. In an ideal world less then 5 thou is acceptable for a blade, I managed to get this one down to about a thou. There is a certain amount of play in the cross sled so it’s difficult to get much more than that. The result is no burned edges, less stress on the saw, blades stay sharper, and your cuts are neater. Always worth taking some time to deal with the small yet very important issues.
