The designer takes ordinary furniture and turns each piece into a work of art. Just as beautiful butterfly emerges from a cocoon, Marga’s pieces each take on an extraordinary new life. Marga Crowley comes from The Netherlands. She immigrated to the US in 1983; is married with children and has settled in Sea Cliff. Marga has been a decorative painter since 1990 and has studied with some of the top
instructors on the country. Her specialty is painting furniture- either new items or completely repairing and refurbishing furniture. Simple ordinary chairs take on special meaning with seasonal hand painted designs. She uses many unusual faux finish techniques as well as trendy paints like chalk paint. She had been published in national and local publications. She also contributed several unique furniture pieces in past Designer Showcase. This Designer Showcase includes a hang painted game table for adults, a whimsical game table for little girl’s room and a set of seasonal chairs. Each piece is meticulously painted and finished with multiple layers of varnish for long lasting wear. These would certainly be an heirloom or ask Marga to paint something custom for your home.
