This morning, as we were getting ready for church, I stood in our living room listening to "Is He Worthy?" and looking out through the porch arches toward the oak trees, their leaves just beginning to turn.
I found myself overwhelmed with gratitude.
For our home. For Thirty-five years of marriage. For our family. For our health. For our church. For countless blessings I could never begin to name.
Then, in church, the sermon brought those thoughts into focus in a way I wasn't expecting.
Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:33 to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.
And I was reminded that the blessings we've been given were never meant to become our greatest treasures. They're gifts to enjoy with gratitude, but also gifts to use for His glory.
That thought goes straight to the heart of why I began SheFlair. My love for beautiful homes is real, but my prayer is that everything I share here will ultimately point beyond the beauty of a home to the goodness of the One who provides it all.
I've written more about this morning's reminder, and why it means so much to the purpose behind SheFlair, in a new Journal post:
"The Blessing and the Purpose"
