A capstone to a wonderful summer was attending Dave Matthews Band DMB Gorge Crew last night with my good friend. The sunset did not disappoint and the performera filled my soul. I discovered S I E R R A H U L L ✨ an amazing performer. Their duet of Long Black Veil was hauntingly beautiful - check it out on YouTube. Pivoting to fall with new projects and lovely clients and am excited about a full ski season with my fixed (and strong) new ACL. Goodbye summer, bring it fall 🍁🍂

Today I learned that Yayoi Kusama, one of this century’s most important artists died on August 14th. I’ve seen (experienced) her work in Seattle, Pittsburgh, and New York. I am touched by her quote: “I fight pain, anxiety, and fear every day, and the only method I have found that relieves my illness is to keep creating art. I followed the thread of art and somehow discovered a path that would allow me to live.”

Initially these Seattle clients thought they wanted all white pieces but as we worked together we discovered they were craving vibrant color and old world styling with a touch of eclecticism in their living room but able to accommodate the messy challenges of a rescue hound and two young kids. We started with a stunning Heriz rug from Andonian Rugs and built the palette from there. After the installation of their living room and blending of existing art and family pieces they wrote: “We could not have imagined it coming together like this.” *

Proud to announce our Central District bathroom won a People’s Choice award and 2nd place in the category of secondary bathroom from the NKBA Puget Sound at their annual Awards Gala. This complex bathroom showcases a waterproof wallpaper as mural running on one side of it. Many details like custom rift cut oak cabinets by Richard Landon, a basket weave tiled no-threshold shower and a cascading Taj Mahal stone countertop made this guest bathroom and main floor powder room a jewel box.
