A prime example of how some plants thrive in colder temps and also is the perfect excuse to plant a winter garden! Kale LOVES cold weather! On the right is scarlet kale that has been grown in a greenhouse, and on the left is scarlet kale of the same size grown outdoors and was covered in snow during the last freeze! The color turns a deep eggplant purple with bright pink veins. The colder the temps, the sweeter the taste becomes! We have our Kale Yeah duo in stock and ready to ship!

These purple beauties are named after the Greek word meaning "angry hedgehog" for their spiny cones that crown velvety purple petals. Echinacea (or Purple Coneflower) packs a punch of immune boosting properties. Researchers believe that Echinacea stimulates the phagocytic immune system which aides in fighting respiratory illnesses such as the flu and common cold viruses. The pink babies are coming along nicely! We've got more varieties coming soon, including my personal favorite, Black Pearls! Black Pearls are a type of Oyster mushroom that have a meaty texture and bittersweet aroma reminiscent of anise. They also have a mild, sweet, and nutty, umami-forward flavor. A gourmet addition to Asian-fusion dishes!
