My neighbor needed a new frost-free hose bib, but the connection was in a tight spot where I really didn't want to get a torch involved.

So instead of soldering, I used ProPress to transition from copper to PEX, then connected the new frost-free hose bib with PEX. I also used a PASCO hose bib anchor to secure everything without having to drill new holes through the brick.

Sometimes the best plumbing repair isn't about doing it the traditional way—it's about finding the right method for the situation.

Would you have used PEX here, or found a way to solder it?
