As a mother with a child who has Down syndrome and Autism this statistic breaks my heart and makes me mad. I feel empowered by all the amazing people with disabilities who have taken it upon themselves to create their own employment opportunities, for not only themselves but for others with disabilities, by starting their own businesses.

When I dropped off my latest batch of fabrics at Refugee Artisan Initiative last week I was fortunate enough to meet Inzali, the talented woman who is sewing pillows for me. And bonus is she had one more pillow from my first collection. This is the last pillow from the collection as the rest have sold.
