We are so excited! These new hand puppets just arrived. Have a family member who loves critters? A child with a birthday coming up? We have everything from mythical creatures, to butterflies, to lightning bugs... that actually light up! Stop in and see what's new.

We'll be here today 11am-3pm and next Thursday and Friday 11am-4pm.
We will temporarily be open after the parade on Saturday but closing early to spend sugar fest with our families.🌼🦋

The Will o' the Wisp...
These spirits are described as little floating balls of blue flame, known to be the souls of deceased children. These nocturnal fairies are found in marshes and will mislead travelers by appearing as a lantern to "guide" them. Travelers that follow the light will become lost, usually being lead to danger. What's a Changeling?
A Changeling is a fairy that is left behind to a human mother after a different fairy takes the human child. However, the only children they steal are the ones that have not been christened. This fairy will look like a sickly version of the stolen child and is often believed to be the deformed child of a dwarf, of an elf, or of an old and withered fairy. There are many reasons believed for replacing the children with the fairy Changeling, one of the reasons could be because fairies see human babies as charming and beautiful, making them get the desire to steal one. Ever heard of a fairy ring?
It's a dark ring of nearly perfectly withered grass and a circle of mushrooms. The grass is discolored and distinctly darker than the grass surrounding it. It's believed the ring was made by dancing fairies and their magic made it a portal to Fairyland. What's interesting is that Welsh sheep are the only animals that will eat the grass inside a fairy ring.
If they're seen dancing by mortals, they're often lured into the ring to dance with them and the person becomes trapped in the ring. But if a glove is thrown into the ring first, however, supposedly it makes it safer to enter and leave as pleased. If a person is trapped and seen dancing uncontrollably, they will have to be pulled out by 3 friends in order to leave. The sea fairy Undine...
The name "Undine" itself means waves, they are sea fairies of ancient Greece that appeared in the Aegean Sea as seahorses with human faces. Usually, however, they present themselves as beautiful humans, but lack souls, meaning they're outside human laws. This interesting information is referenced from the book: The Fairy Bible by Teresa Moorey, The Definitive Guide to the World of Fairies.
