Before the drywall went up, we completed the subfloor framing, insulation, electrical, and plumbing. We weren’t able to capture much of that work on video, but by this point everything behind the walls was taken care of and the drywall was hung.

The next stage was taping and mudding the walls and ceilings for a Level 4 smooth finish.

🔨 For the age of this home, the existing structure was actually in pretty good condition. There were still areas that needed some attention, so we repaired and reinforced the framing where necessary, sistered floor joists where needed, and installed new subfloor on both floors.

We also spent time making sure the walls were flat, straight, and plumb before moving forward. Since this home got a Level 4 smooth drywall finish, getting the framing right beforehand is important. A good finished product starts with what’s behind the walls.

This video doesn’t show every stage of the project, but since then the electrical, plumbing, and insulation work was completed

Now we’re ready for the next stage — DRYWALL! 🏠

This home had a small accident that caused damage around the front dormer/entry. We came out, assessed the damage, provided the homeowner with an estimate, and once she gave us the go-ahead, RB1 Construction got to work.
