Show Me Master Gardeners The Master Gardener program provides in depth horticultural training to individuals throughout Misso The Show-Me Master Gardeners meet at 6:30 p.m.

on the third Tuesday of the month at the Pettis County Extension Center. Master Gardeners complete 30 hours of volunteer work following their initial training working on approved projects in the community. Each year after the first year, Master Gardeners complete 20 hours of volunteer work. Current projects include Liberty Center garden and Katy Depot wildflower garden. Another year has passed and it's time again for our annual plant sale. We try to have it each year, the Saturday of Mother's Day. Since most of our plants come from our own gardens it's hard to know what will be there but most of it will be perennials that come back each spring, weather permitting of course. I know there will definitely be hosta, lambs ear, elderberry bushes, young lenten rose (Heleborus) and many many others to choose from. Please come and check us out.

Just a reminder that our plant sales are just around the corner. The humming birds are loving this and the scent is amazing!

Some call them weeds, but henbit and dandelions are some of the first foods available for pollinating insects. Why should we care? Primarily because without pollinating insects we don’t eat.
