We’re proud to support the schools and communities that make Fayette County such a special place to call home.

Right after the conclusion of the 2025–2026 school year, Dixie Sod had the opportunity to partner with Braelinn Elementary by donating 9 pallets of Celebration Bermuda sod for a campus improvement project ahead of the upcoming school year.

The sod was installed in key play areas behind the school near the baseball and soccer fields, helping provide a fresh stand of grass for students to enjoy when they return in August.

We’re honored to play a small part in helping improve the spaces where students learn, play, and grow. We would also like to thank Dr. Brandi Walker for trusting Dixie Sod to be a part of this project and for helping coordinate the effort from start to finish.

Thank you to Braelinn Elementary for allowing us to contribute to this project. We look forward to seeing the new grass established and ready for students to enjoy at the start of another great school year.

Owner Spotlight: Dixie Warren

For 30 years, Dixie Warren has been the driving force behind Dixie Sod—building more than just a business, but a reputation rooted in trust, relationships, and quality.

As Owner & Operator since 1996, Dixie has always believed that great service starts with listening. Whether it’s helping a homeowner choose the right grass for their yard or working alongside landscapers, he takes pride in making sure every customer gets exactly what they need.

Beyond the business, Dixie is deeply connected to the community—spending years as a community baseball coach at Fayette County High School and Whitewater High School, while also giving back through charitable sod donations to local schools, churches, and organizations.

When he’s not working, you’ll likely find him on the golf course enjoying time with family and friends.
