Just hanging around!👷‍♂️

No, seriously—we’re proud to partner with Caplan Glass and Sky Climber to train our team using Petzl assisted rescue equipment while working from swing stages.

Our project with Caplan Glass at the Baltimore County Public Safety Building requires swing stages to access the building elevations. Working at height comes with added challenges, and being prepared for an emergency is just as important as preventing one.

As part of that preparation, we worked with Sky Climber to train our team on Petzl equipment and assisted rescue procedures specifically for this type of work.

At SRS, we take pride in delivering quality work, but safety will always come first. Our number one priority is making sure everyone goes home safely at the end of the day.

Proud of the SRS Team at Winfield Elementary School!

SRS recently completed our first project with WTI at Winfield Elementary School. The project included approximately 450 linear feet of new through wall flashing, significant EIFS repairs, and selective masonry repointing.

Foreman Frank and Assistant Project Manager Jake headed up the project. This was Jake’s first through wall flashing project, and it was a big one! Frank and Jake did a great job working hand in hand with WTI, planning the work, researching the proper EIFS repair methods, and solving challenges as they came up.

Our goal was to get the project completed before school started. It came down to the last minute, but the team got it done!

At SRS, we take pride in working together, solving problems, and doing whatever it takes to make our customers happy.

Great job, Frank, Jake, and the entire SRS team!

🏫 Project Update: Winfield Elementary School – Through-Wall Flashing Installation

Structural Restoration Services (SRS) is proud to be partnering with WTI – Weatherproofing Technologies, Inc., a Tremco Construction Products Group company, on the Winfield Elementary School project.

As WTI coordinates the roof replacement, our team is installing new through-wall flashing to improve the building envelope and help protect the structure from moisture intrusion for years to come.

One of the most effective times to install through-wall flashing on an older building is during a roof replacement project. In many cases, older facilities either lack flashing entirely or have flashing systems that have reached the end of their service life. Coordinating flashing installation with a roof replacement allows owners to address multiple building envelope components simultaneously, maximizing the value of their investment while minimizing disruption and avoiding the need to disturb a newly installed roof at a later date.

This project highlights the importance of proactive maintenance and collaboration between roofing and restoration professionals to extend the life of commercial and institutional buildings.
