T18-16-1 ('Remembering Janice' x 'Becky Adams')

This is part of my "near whites" that I am working on. I say "near white" because there is not yet a pure, snow-white flower in the daylily world (but we are getting closer!). The majority of whites have undertone hues of yellow and/or pink. Have to keep breeding them to get those undertones out, but there is some pretty stuff produced along the way.

This plant is starting to get some age to him (produced in 2018) and have been using it pretty much as a bridge plant but it might have some promise in its' own right. It is a nice grower that can also be used in the front of the garden.

I have been really enjoying this tetraploid this season! It seems that it just keeps on blooming! The scapes are a little shorter than I would prefer measuring at about 24" in height. But it would make a great "front of the border plant" as they say. This is from a cross of a couple of my seedlings in pursuit of a scarlet red with a black eye.

Somehow, it is easy to fall in love with a first-year bloom and that was the case with this one! It has a nice height, large flower and incredible branching (typically 4-6 branches per scape). Love the color and growth habit!

Likely an intro soon.

Here is another dormant diploid (hence the "D" in the seedling number-"T" means Tetraploid for the curious!). This is another nice plant with some height (~30") and high bud count with some branches. This will likely be an introduction within the next couple of years.

This seedling is a vigorous grower, with nice bud count and branching. Scapes are around 40" tall with flowers measuring 5" in width. This will likely be an introduction at the end of this year. Nice plant!
