A friend sent me these pictures from when we drilled their well back in 2006. That’s me and my brother on the job—he was operating the rig, and I was in the rod box loading or unloading drill steel. 💪

Hard to believe that was 20 years ago. Feels like yesterday! Time sure does fly when you’ve spent it doing what you know and love. 🛠️

This one turned out to be a bad well pump. While I was there, the customer reminded me that the last time we replaced this pump, my grandfather and I did the job together. I vaguely remember it, but it’s pretty cool getting called back to a home with that kind of family connection.

As always, I had the direct replacement right on my “mobile shop on wheels,” so I got the new pump installed and their water back up and running quickly. 💪💦

💧 Another “Repair, Not Replace” Win in Oxford!

We got a call from an Oxford homeowner who discovered a leak at their water tank. When we inspected the system, we found that acidic water had eaten away at the brass tank package.

The good news? The tank itself was older, but still in excellent operating condition. There was no reason to replace a perfectly good tank and make the customer spend more than necessary.

Instead, we installed a new stainless steel tank package on the existing tank, giving the system new life while saving the homeowner the cost of a full replacement.

That’s what our repair, not replace approach is all about: fixing what needs to be fixed, preserving what still works, and helping our customers get the most value from their equipment.

New pump today in Oxford. Apparently another company was out and said the pump was trapped and that they’d be looking at about $20,000 to get the pump out.

With a little massaging, we got the pump out. We found that the wire was caught in the well. It pulled out just fine once the wire was free. No reason for additional charges for common sense!

Yesterday, we were out in Southbury fixing lightning damage after a strike took out the start capacitor and locked up the motor on this well water system.

A busy Saturday, but when a customer has no water, we don't stop until the job is done.

Today's 4th no-water call brought us to Seymour. We promised the homeowner they'd have their water back before the day was over—and we kept that promise, arriving at 5:30 today to get the job done! We quickly found the problem: a well pump that had been faithfully running since 1992. That's an impressive lifespan!

Because our trucks are fully stocked, we had the replacement on hand and got them back up and running that same evening.

Another old pump replacement yesterday in Southbury. This one was installed in 1993. During a home inspection, it was noted that it was drawing high amperage.
