We’ve been running hard.
Real hard.
It’s the busy season. That’s to be expected.
We’re building 2 bathrooms, a deck, and a garage right now. We’re wrapping up a massive addition and a full exterior remodel.
We’re planning for another addition, another full exterior remodel, and 2 finished basements for later this summer.
We’re working with customers on design and budget for a full home renovation and 3 new construction homes.
Oh yeah. I’m also trying to finish the complete remodel of a home my wife and I purchased last year. That we’re in the process of moving into. This weekend.
When things get busy, my desk starts to look like this. My trucks get even worse. If I’m not careful, a job site could start looking like this too.
A cluttered space equals a cluttered mind. And in the midst of clutter, things get missed.
Simply put, we’ll screw something up.
That’s why today, I’m getting in front of the mess.
Taking a day, in the midst of the busy time. Taking a break right in the middle of making hay while the sun shines.
The receipts are getting filed. The books getting balanced.
The bills being paid. The materials ordered.
The desk clean. The trucks cleaner.
But most importantly, taking a moment to feel immense gratitude for a “problem” like this.
This is Gods business. I don’t know why he entrusted it to me. On paper I’m likely the worst possible candidate for the job.
But he’s got a way of using the simple to confound the wise.
So I’m grateful. Grateful for the work. Grateful for the relationships. Grateful for the subcontractors who produce incredible work. Grateful for the suppliers who keep the orders coming. Grateful for the customers who trust us with their homes and their vision.
Tomorrow we show back up. With clean books and clean trucks. Ready to kick some ass. 👊
