Prefer experienced candidates with 1-3 years asphalt/construction industry experience. Also seeking general asphalt laborers, and raker/luteman.
PennDOT and Municipal experience a plus.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Performs all work according to OSHA and American Asphalt Safety Policies.
Employees must be willing and available to work overtime, including weekends when necessary.

Additional skills preferred, but not required:

Job Description:

The tanker driver will pick up liquid asphalt in the Tri-State Area (PA, NJ, NY) and transport the material back to the asphalt plants in Shavertown and Plains, PA. On a rare occasion, the driver will be required to pick up asphalt from Maryland.The position is for local work and the driver will be home daily.

Requirements:

Class A CDL
Tanker Endorsement
HazMat Endorsement
TWIC certification preferred, or must be obtained within 30-days of employment at the employer’s expense.
Minimum 2-years’ experience transporting hot liquids, interstate travel.
Clean driving record required.
Safety conscious
Verifiable excellent professional references.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for hauling materials (stone, asphalt, soil, etc.) to/from job sites, backing into the paver and offloading liquid asphalt. Prefer candidates with 2-years dump truck driving experience in the road construction industry, or other applicable truck/industry.
* Home same day!
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily.
* Keep interior truck and dump body clean.
* Able to communicate with customers & dispatchers.

Qualifications and Skills:
* Valid CDL Class A or Class B license.
* Clean motor vehicle driving record.
* Must be able to pass DOT physical and maintain a current medical card.
* Dump experience helpful.
* Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, and agree to be placed in an employee random drug and alcohol testing pool thereafter.

Additional skills and certifications preferred, but not required:
