Well, another spring has rolled around and Jennifer and I are looking forward to another exciting year . We love working with our clients, many of whom have become wonderful friends. In this particular project, we refurbished the beautiful dark cabinets that had many years of use, but needed some tender loving care. In addition, we changed the center island from a very dark brown to a lightly glazed decorator white. We also lime washed the brick areas in the kitchen and on the hearth and fireplace in the den. The fireplace surround was finished with a decorator white with glazing. Thank you in advance for remembering us as we close in on twenty six years. We are pleased to say that we have just completed our latest project and we are thrilled with the results. This project could not have been done without the wonderful prep work of the owners, Cathy and David. Jennifer and I have been working for two days on our current project. There has been a great deal of prepping, filling and troweling. We still have several more days of work but we are liking the progress.

Jennifer and I are excited to begin our next project. This beautiful home was built during the 1930's and sometime over the years, the plaster on fireplace and areas around the fireplace were covered with wood to hide the plaster damage. The owners decided to remove the wood to regain the original plaster. In the second photo, you can see the wonderful job the owners have done in addressing the problems in the plaster areas, preparing for our arrival. As you can see, the wall on the right side was not able to be salvaged. *interesting note... the plaster craftsmen of this era had their own individual troweling techniques. One of our main tasks is to try to replicate this artisan's technique. We will give it our best!!

Jennifer and I finished today with our current project. We were very satisfied with the Marmorino Italian Plaster hood surround, the Italian polished plaster barrel ceiling and the lime wash walls in the powder bath. We feel grateful for being part of this special project.

I have to say that it felt extremely good today to get back to work with our decorative arts families. Jennifer and I began this Italian plaster project in a gorgeous home in the area.
