Craw space encapsulation is very important not only for your home but for you as well! With HSFI’s crawl space encapsulation we start by removing all debris left behind from years of repairs and renovations. (As you can see from some of the pictures below many times debris is left behind from previous jobs.) Once the debris is removed a layer of 10 mil v***r barrier is installed. The v***r barrier blankets the ground and is ran up the walls of the crawl space and around any pillars. Then 2” of closed cell spray foam is install overlapping the v***r barrier covering the exterior walls all the way to the subfloor. This completely encapsulates the crawl space keeping moisture from entering the space, and making its way into your home, and keeping it insulated from the weather outside. This in turn also blocks out the damp musty odor that comes with an improperly sealed crawl space.
