Here are the latest tile floor installations and I wanted to go over what's underneath the tile and the steps we take to ensure a durable long lasting floor.

The orange ditra is over a unsealed concrete slab with primer T on it to ensure the ditra and concrete Create a strong bond.

All-set mortar fills the pockets in the ditra, which is then combed over with a 1/2-inch notched trowel. The tile's back side is back-buttered with mortar before being placed in position.

The other picture is 1/4 hardie board over wood subfloor. Before installation of hardie, ditra, or tile we always ensure the substrate is clean of any debris or dust.
