It’s that time of year when we have to take our brushes inside and start on our winter lists.

We apologize to our customers who we didn’t get to this year.
Nobody is more upset about that than I am.
We had a lot of rain delays this year along with the high humidity levels that left everything soaking wet to start the day.
It was frustrating to say the least.

We welcome all interiors and I’m already booking exteriors for next year.

Give us a call for all of your interior and exterior painting projects or any smaller carpentry projects you might have.
We’ve been getting a lot more requests for carpentry lately so that’s something we will consider.

A soggy transformation Tuesday.
That’s how it’s gone all year for us.
The last 3 years we were spoiled and begged for a rain day, not the case this year.
Some nice gray color changes, a deck and a couple of white houses looking fresh and clean before fall.

WARNING ‼️ I seen a vinyl house this year that had warped from getting painted.
It was previously a yellowish / green vinyl color and painted a dark charcoal gray.

Im not casting stones ( as I don’t know the story) I’m just trying to make homeowners aware it can and will warp on you.

YES you can paint vinyl siding, and I have painted several over the years. It just has to be a vinyl safe color.

BM and SW both have vinyl safe colors / paint that are approved for it.

We are glad to be done with this monster and the heat. All the concrete that surrounded the building didn’t help matters and not a single shade tree in site.

Lighter siding color and the trim was matched to the facia and soffits.

Our biggest project this year is done!!!

That’s a really nice blue color. Looks sharp against the white trim.

Benjamin Moore Gentleman’s Gray is the name of the color.

Some really nice color combinations with all of these homes.

We had to replace some siding and rotten trim, plus we stripped one side completely down and started fresh as it was always peeling on that side.
So we’ve done a fair amount of carpentry this year to get a few ready for paint.

Iv reached out to most of you on the list.
A few people I have not yet, but your time is coming, please stay patient.

I do have 7 house on next year’s list and Iv looked at a few others recently but nothing has been added.

So if your interested in quote and get on next year’s list now’s the time.

My interior list is wide open at the moment.
With the heatwave coming we could use a cool place to work inside in the afternoons.

I don’t refinish hardwood floors very often as I’d rather just paint.
These planks were put down by the homeowner and he didn’t want to screw it up.
I am old school on my process and it’s more work than newer products used today but it’s how I was taught.

Pictures texted to me from the customer.

Once everything gets moved in and everything gets finished up I’m going to take a video of this barn that was moved in and turned into a home

Last house of the year is complete.

Hunter and I enjoyed the dry weather the last couple of months, allowing us to get 6 more big jobs done before the cold weather sets in.

We’re going to start on our interior list soon and we welcome more interior calls for this winter.

Sorry no before photos on this one. The carpenter was still trying to get it finished up so we could paint it and I didn’t take any of the construction stuff going on.
Front porch isn’t finished, we didn’t miss a spot 😉
It will get wrapped in the future.

I’d like to give Mike a shoutout, he’s a great carpenter, and he works his tail off.
Great guy to work with and I highly recommend.
He’s in the clarinda area if you’re in need of someone to do a remodel or inside finish work I’d be happy to give you his number.

At this time I won’t be taking on anymore exterior jobs. I have to shut it down until I get caught up.

If not I’ll be adding you to the 2026 list. I have no problem doing that but you have to know that going forward 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m just WAY BEHIND because of the weather.

Coming out of the wettest May in history followed up with it raining every other day in June it seamed like and we basically lost this week to it raining every day.

I’m back to a two year waiting list again at this point because of it.

We painted 25 houses last year and this year we have painted only 9 🥹

I swear the boys and didn’t go fishing every day either lol 😆

I know everyone understands but nobody is more upset about it than me I promise you. I love my job and what I do.

We desperately needed the moisture and still need a lot more of it.

So…Fingers crossed that we stay dry enough over the next 10 weeks we can get 10 more painted before November 🤞🤞

My late grandfather built this house in the mid 90’s. This was his last project before calling it a career.
He was the one who taught me how to swing a paint brush and I watched him do countless projects growing up.
I think he would be very proud to know I eventually followed in his footsteps. My fathers ladders are on every job site and often I use my grandfathers 30 footer when needed.

Nice and clean 2 coats of white and a change of color for the shutters, scallops and doors.
BM colors are Amherst Gray and Cheating Heart.

The boys and I enjoyed the dry weather the past couple weeks but the temperatures were brutal. Im
looking forward to the cooler temperatures the rest of the week.

Nice transformation on this house last week and freshen up on this old country home and garage the week before.

Iv got 15 house I’d like done before November 1st and that’s 15 weeks away.
Could use a little help from Mother Nature going forward 🤞

Transformation Thursday and what a monster of a house it is.
The largest square footage house Iv ever painted. This would be equivalent to two normal 2 story houses.

38 gallons of paint was used to give you a better idea of how big this project was.
This house has been the same color for over 60 years 😮

She’s still got some cosmetic issues going on but those issues are in the works.
It’s all down hill going forward with much smaller houses and we’re excited about that lol.
