One of my favorite parts of visiting new gardens is seeing plants used in ways I would never think of at home.

Woodland paths, meadow plantings, unexpected color combinations, silver foliage, and textures layered together to create something that feels effortless.

I came home with far more inspiration than I have room for—and a much longer plant wish list. 🌿❤️

Sometimes the best way to improve your own garden is simply to spend time wandering through someone else’s.

Which photo would inspire you to bring a new plant home?

Good morning from the poppies ❤️

I thought they were huge last year, but this season’s blooms are nearly twice the size.

The fuzzy silver foliage, oversized buds, and those velvet-dark centers were absolutely worth the wait.

Garden friends — I’ll be at the Huntley farmers market tomorrow 4pm-6pm with a fresh batch of plants ready for new homes 🌿

Available tomorrow:
• Rare tomato varieties 🍅
• Peppers ranging from sweet to spicy 🌶️
• Foxgloves
• Sweet peas
• A few remaining Bells of Ireland

Some favorites making appearances:
Black Beauty, Black Strawberry, Black Cherry, Black Brandywine, Sart Roloise, Orange Peach, Pink Fang, Poblanos, Thai chilis, Cayenne, and Red Bell.

Most are grown from seed here in Shepherd with way too much love, chaos, and greenhouse rearranging 😂

If you’ve been wanting something a little different for your garden this year, come wander through the siren’s garden and see what follows you home 🖤

DM me if you want me to set specific plants aside before the market opens.

🌿 Plant Spotlight: Bells of Ireland 🌿
The Siren’s Chime

Last year my mom wanted these for the flower garden and we spent the season searching local nurseries without even knowing what they really were or their special needs 😂

Turns out they were Bells of Ireland — one of the most unique cool-season flowers I’ve grown so far.

This year we started our own from seed and finally got some planted in the garden 🌿

Swipe to see the tall green flower spikes they’ll eventually grow into 👀

A few extras are still available and probably ready to find homes soon before they decide they’re officially done living in pots 😆

🖤 Tomato in the Spotlight: Black Beauty

One of the darkest tomatoes in the world.

Black Beauty develops its deep midnight coloring from anthocyanins — the same antioxidant pigments found in blueberries and blackberries.

Rich, smoky heirloom flavor.
Almost unreal-looking in the garden.
And somehow even prettier sliced open.

Available this week from Ensnaring Siren Garden 🌿
