Upstairs Demo: During Covid 2020 Quarantine we took advantage of staying home and demoed our upstairs. Originally it was set up as a one bedroom apartment. We gutted it and turned it into 3 bedrooms (and a bathroom we didn't touch......yet). The last person to completely renovate the old house was a George W Brailean in the 1970's. He left behind many surprises!

We're in the process of replacing the old (1970s) windows and switching out some siding to board and batten. We are excited to see our consumers bill this winter.

The Big Red Barn, it's one of the first things you'll notice leaving Sheridan when heading south. At this point in my research I am able to estimate it is pre 1900. It was probably a dream of many back in the day to own such a large barn and farmland.

This is a bathroom Jason built in a walk-out basement. The man needed a spot for his lake guests to come in and wash off or use the bathroom. Jason installed a SANIPRO toilet and says "that's the way to go" if installing new plumbing in a basement.

The Bornman family are good friends of ours and has had Jason do several projects for them over the years. Here are two of those. The first is a garage converted into a music studio and the second is a large deck with pergola along the backside of the house.

Where do I begin? It's been awhile! People ask if we're still doing the "house stuff". In a nutshell, yes. My husband, Jason, has continued using his skills as a handyman and has his own business. I have went back to working part time at our church along with doing what I love best, raising our family. We do continue to work together often too as we have started renovating our farmhouse. This is one thing I'm most excited about as you all know how much I love restoration! With all this being said I am going to begin posting again: documenting our journey through reviving our family home and showing off some of my husband's handy work! I hope you all enjoy. God bless.
