Responsibilities:

Assist with the installation and repair of Garage Doors and Openers
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Perform routine preventative maintenance
Track all equipment and supplies
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must be mechanical and learn fast.
Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
Ability to handle physical workload
Ability to be punctual, and efficient in your day to day jobs
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Clean driving record

Compensation:

Pay between $15-$25 hour depending on experience
40 hours of PTO that starts accumulating upon hire and available to use after your 90 day probationary period
Company vehicle and tools, some tools are to be provided by applicant.
Room to grow with the company.

With the cold weather approaching, there are a few reasons why the cold weather could have your garage door stuck closed.

1. Broken springs tend to happen more in the cold weather as well. If the door feels heavier than normal when opened manually, you probably have a broken spring. You can also tell by looking at the springs and you will see where one split in half.
2. Grease tends to harden up in the cold, which can cause more friction and require other parts to work harder. wiping off the lubrication and using a grease solvent and applying fresh lubricate will help. We recommend a silicone based lubricant.
3. Weatherseal can freeze to the ground and the side of the house. Make sure that there is no standing water around the bottom of the garage door. If there is you can heat it up with a heat gun, hot water to melt the ice and free the door up. Be careful as adding water can cause more ice to refreeze and heating the metal garage door to hot could damage the door.

Just wrapped up a huge custom job for Lenne Estate Vineyard. Fully enclosed the outside seating area of the tasting room with Northwest Door Modern classic fullview doors. Everything on this job was custom fit and custom modified to fit and work well with so many doors in one space. Multiple doors rolling up on top or underneath each other. It was not easy and most competitors said it simply wasn't possible . Well here it is, another one for the record books.
